Update: 12/12/22 I am knocking off a star based on updated feedback/review. Cold toes seem to be a thing with these boots. We were snow tubing yesterday for about 90 minutes, and ended up being done as my daughter said her toes were hurting from being too cold. It was about 22F outside at the time, and the rest of use were fine with our boots of various brands. She had on 2 pairs of socks, her normal ankle socks, and a thicker calf length socks my wife gave her. That was not enough, so I believe that warrants an adjustment to review based on additional real world performance.Original:My 11 year old daughter needed new boots this year, and decided to get these instead of looking for big kids ones, in a size 7. She's around 6.5 right now for shoe sizes. The 7 seems to fit her alright, and is able to be tied down tight enough if they are a bit big. They look nice, feel soft on the inside. However, that's usually short lived as the soft fleece or material will mat down over time. The bottom of the boot inside I thought felt pretty hard, but she's ok with it. Thought about putting an insert in, but she said the top of her toes were touching the bottom side of the top of the boot on the inside, so likely no room for an insert. She wore them to horse riding lessons when it was about 30F outside, she reported her feet were cold in them at the end of almost 90 minutes. Wearing them to school and recess though, she says her feet have not gotten cold. So over all, the fit seems good, the boots are comfortable and warm for short durations at least. They are pretty waterproof on the lower part of the boots, and look nice. If any issues arise as we get further into winter, I will update.
