This review is about the Free Soldier Light Weight Tactical Desert Boot Suede Leather size 12M (not with water proof lining version).I don¡¯t normally comment on purchases I¡¯ve made but on this one I will. First, I am a man in my 70¡¯s. I live in the Mid-South USA. I am an active member of our local business community. I purchased these boots because I wanted this style boot just to wear. The boots are extremely comfortable after a break-in period of three weeks plus of everyday use. Yes, the proverbial ankle bite was there for much of that time on one ankle but it too faded. I wear them daily for all my activities including walks on the treadmill at the gym. I walk a lot and have found them to be very comfortable and getting better every day. I will say that one of the boots does feel a bit wider than the other, but it is not really an issue. I have narrow feet, and these fit OK. I would recommend them to someone looking for this type of boot and I would buy them again if needed.

I would like to return these because the color isn¡¯t in army regulation. The picture makes it seem like it is darker but the actual boot is a lot lighter then it looks on picture. Unfortunately I am unable to return it because I¡¯ve missed the deadline. Still a great pair of boots, just not for army regulation as far as the color.

I'm hard on boots. I have been using these regularly as work boots and I'm a little disappointed. After 2 months one of the eyelets has sheered off and the strings have become stretched and have started to break. If your looking for a good pair of hunting or backpacking boots I would not pick these.

I am unable to determine the actual durability for I haven't had them very long yet (about 3 months). They are comfortable, light weight, easy to maneuver in and stand up to a fair amount of abuse. The tread's provides semi-decent traction. Not the greatest boot in this style I've ever owned, or worn, but definitely worth the money in my opinion.So:Pros: Light-Weight, They Breath, Durable, Look Great, Fitment (sizing) was ok, overall worth the moneyCons: Tread Lacks a Biting Grip, Tops are Loose Even After Being Tightened Down All The Way, Easily Stained & Hard to Clean (if you care about that)

I decided to wait a few months to write this review, and I'm glad I did.I work at Lowe's, and I walk around 30k steps almost every day over a 9-10 hour period. The first thing I did before putting these on was put some Dr. Scholl's pads in, and let me tell you, these boots are nice. At first I wasn't expecting the suede, but I got use to it. They do get dirty a little easily, but that's fine in my opinion. They have great ankle support as they lace all the way up. The laces seem pretty strong, but I'll most likely end up needing to replace them soon. The zipper has held up perfectly so far, and I've used these while climbing, running, jogging, airsoft games 5 hours long, and hiking. These are an all around great boot. 10/10 would buy again.
