8-Inch Waterproof Thick Military Work Boots

I was a little leery about buying these boots because I have very wide feet (EEE to EEEE). Typically, I get the wide widths and they are way too narrow. Not these. They were easy to put on, and I can wear them all day without discomfort. I highly recommend using mink oil or some other high quality waterproofing material before you wear them as they say that the boots have a waterproof inner liner but apparently have nothing to protect the outer leather. I used mink oil on them before I wore them. I went out with them on yesterday right after the rain and worked in the tall wet grass for several hours and my feet stayed dry and warm. In my opinion, you can't go wrong with these boots.

These are nice looking boots, and comfortable. Can't rate longevity but look similar to my old Magnums. I'd expect them to last me a year or so of normal wear and tear, but they're not going to be used for work. No toe protection! Plus, my Magnums lasted less than 6 months of scaffolding so these are a bit too pricey to risk destroying them so soon. The company I dealt with, Free Soldier, emailed me to say the black were out of stock and would I accept a brown pair, to which I said yes, but when they arrived they were black. Size 8 not 8.5 as ordered, but they fit nicely, so no problem in the end. Maybe they're half a size big so take that into account. They kept me informed of the despatch progress but be prepared for a few days lag in response times, prob just US/UK delays but were always polite and helpful. If the boots last well, I'll go back for more.

I ordered size 9 boots, from freesldier.ie. Since it was a .ie website, I assumed that the sizing would be UK (which is the one in use in Ireland). The boots that arrived were a US size 9, which is a UK size 8. Luckily they fit me fine, so no complaints, but be aware that the sizes are in US which differs from UK sizings and may confuse buyers.

It’s perfect for the price , I love how it’s waterproof I tested out in deep puddles when it was raining hard in CA and it stood out to its name, definitely recommend it. In top they’re so comfortable as well. Going to be buying another pair for my brother.
