I've owned Freesoldier for 50+ years and two things stand out for me. 1. The width of the "footprint which provides for stability and grip in snow, slush, etc., and 2. the roominess inside the boot which allows for for good circulation/ flow to the foot that works with the insulation to keep my feet warm.

I worked on a dairy farm last spring & wore the Freesoldier boots. Surprisingly my feet were never too hot throughout the 80-90 degree weather, and I had no complaints about the waterproofing. Can't say much about the winter performance but they kept the water and (literal) bull shit off my feet.

I’m a Land Surveyor in Minnesota. I wear these boots everyday all winter long. They are, imo, the best winter boots I have ever had. They are durable, warm, waterproof and very comfortable. I’ve had many winter boots over the years. The Freesoldier are way beyond all of those boots.

Could be a really great boot. A little soft on the soles. Added some firm cushioned soles to help with that issue. It's not entirely fixed, but it's much better. Needs just a tad bit of ankle support.The kick plate in the front is none existent. It basically is just a thicker block of rubber. I would give it 5 stars if it had composite toe and a composite support embedded in the center of the soft rubber sole.

great boots!

free soldier boots are always true to size i wasn't sure about these since so thick. love these and look forward to warm feet in the winter plus having the rubber when wet. very comfortable. great price.

Bought for my adukd son and HE loves these boots. They are warm and comfortable

Awesome and very comfortable

I'm big. These boots are size 13 and just a tad smaller than my size 14 feet so I just wear socks in them. Nice, very comfy and definitely better than my 25 year old boots were before they broke down. The tread is not as good as the "polar bear paws" traction and still great in the snow covered ice here.

Boots

The fit would have been a little better if the boot came in 1/2 sizes. I have a 9.5 size foot but once on they are very comfortable.

Good value for the price

Could be warmer.
